These kids don't look nervous at all! Ethan is starting 4th grade and Summer is now a first grader. This feels strange to have both kids gone all day. I'm thinking of the Staples commercial showing a father loading his cart with school supplies to the tune "It's the most wonderful time of the year!". While we have had good times this summer, I'm looking forward to the days having more sense of purpose. I have Thursdays off from work and I was all by myself this week. I read, practiced guitar, exercised and finished up some charts for work. It was nice to have that much uninterrupted time. But I also feel like my kids are growing up so fast. They are at the ages I wish I could freeze in time. I need to make the most of the time that I do have with them after school and on the weekends.
Sweet and wide eyed first grader! She is so excited for school lunch and more recesses!

Where have I been? You have so many new post's! First I love the day you and Summer spent out. How fun to see all those amazing things. I don't believe I have ever been there. It looked really fun. 2nd Ethan looks so old to me in those yellow stone pictures. Especially the one where he is standing on the bridge alone. He looks like he is 15 with that pose he has. And last, I love the school pic! I am sure you are very excited to get more time at home while the kids are in school. (If work doesn't take over?!) I've got 5 years tell that day comes! She's not even hear yet! haha
Hey Lisa, it sounds like a fun end to the summer. Isn't This is the Place cool, you should go to the haunted village they do, its based on the movie the village and it was very scary! Tell Ethan and Summer hello!
Your kiddies are so cute! I bet they had such a wonderful time at their first day of school. I've just started a blog as well (www.moneycoyne.blogspot.com) so feel free to check it out if you'd like!
What an awesome blog you've started!!! I love all of the pics! I especially love the trophy garter of Ethan. That is hilarious! Love ya, Rebekah, bekah, reb the rebel, whatever
Cute kids! I know what you mean about wanting to freeze time. I really do wish I had a few extra hours in each day to spend more time with my kids, teaching them things and having more fun with them. Ah well, just have to try to make the most of what we've got!
